    DayZ Badlands | Coming October 15, 2026

Bohemia showed a Nasdara teaser at Gamescom and put a date on DayZ Badlands: October 15, 2026. The studio labels everything shown as work in progress.

    For your guild
A firm date is enough to start planning around, but nothing beyond it is settled. Wishlisting costs nothing; committing a community server roadmap to Nasdara does, and there is still no word on how Badlands sits alongside the DayZ servers a clan already runs.

The new DayZ update will bring home renovation to the zombie apocalypse

PCGamesN reports on Bohemia's latest Badlands dev blog. The expansion adds a desert map called Nasdara where abandoned houses can be patched and rebuilt into bases, and brings code locks to official servers for the first time.

    For your guild
Code locks on official servers would change how a group shares a base, since access stops being a matter of who was told where the door is. Badlands still has no release date, so this is a reason to watch the dev blogs rather than to rebuild anything now.

DayZ Badlands | Dev Blog (Week 79) | Wishlist now!

Dev Blog 6 for the Badlands expansion covers dust effects and the Lee-Enfield rifle. Footsteps now shake dust from ceilings onto anyone below, and Bohemia says the release window is a few months away.

    For your guild
The ceiling dust is a stealth mechanic in a graphics update's clothes. Clearing an upper floor in Nasdara will announce you to whoever is underneath. Nothing to schedule yet; the window is still a few months out.
