Biome and boss updates, the public roadmap, and the build and combat tuning between big drops.
A long list of tweaks and bug fixes incoming today! It touches on a little bit of everything, and we hope this patch will serve to give you all a smoother experience adventuring in Valheim. Due to some internal restrictions, the patch will require a few days to get uploaded to…
Valheim is a trademark of Iron Gate AB.
Patch 1.0.16 fixes terrain edits reverting in the Deep North and raids that spawned far too many enemies. It reaches every platform over a few days, and crossplay keeps working in the meantime.
For your guild
Walk your Deep North base after updating and patch any terrain seams by hand. A mixed-platform group can keep playing together while the patch rolls out.
Valheim leaves early access with the Deep North biome, a Jotun invasion that plays out across the world, a grappling hook, snow that has to be cleared before you can build, achievements, and inventory upgrades bought from Haldor.
For your guild
The save system was rewritten to split world data across chunks, so less is serialised per write and a failure mid-write is survivable. If your group runs a long-lived shared world, read Iron Gate’s 1.0 FAQ on mods and existing saves before anyone loads it.
The Guild Post gathers the latest Valheim news from Iron Gate and the wider community into one page — patch notes, updates, and announcements as they publish, each linking back to the original source. Biome and boss updates, the public roadmap, and the build and combat tuning between big drops.
