    POWER TRIP

Facepunch's Player Maintained Monuments update lets heavy fuses restart the power plant, which in turn powers roadside lines, a supermarket freezer, oil pumping to Dome, and a satellite-crash loot event visible to the whole server.

    For your guild
Every new system here runs on bodies. A group that claims the power plant controls recycler efficiency for the whole island, and the satellite crash tells every player on the server where the loot fell, so plan to fight over it rather than sneak it.

›About this page

The Guild Post gathers the latest Rust news from Facepunch Studios and the wider community into one page — patch notes, updates, and announcements as they publish, each linking back to the original source. The first-Thursday forced wipe, monthly monument and gameplay updates, and Facepunch’s weekly devblogs.

Where does Rust news come from?
We aggregate Rust dispatches from Facepunch Studios and community sources and link each headline back to its original publisher. We summarize and point out; we don't republish full articles.
How often is this page updated?
Continuously — the Rust feed refreshes as new news is published (cached for about 30 minutes), so the latest dispatches are always near the top.
Can I follow Rust news without checking the site?
Yes. Subscribe to the Rust RSS feed, or get a free weekly digest tailored to every game you play with a Guild Order account.
