EVE Online Security Update - 8 September, 2026

A modified client could read a recipient's wallet balance by donating to them. One player sent roughly a million 0 ISK donations across four accounts in six hours, snapshotting character and corporation balances. The hole was closed at downtime.

    • —Four accounts sent roughly a million separate 0 ISK donations over six hours on 4 September.
    • —Exposure was limited to character and corporation ISK balances, and for corporations to the master wallet only.
    • —PLEX balances, transaction history and account details were not exposed.
    • —The vulnerability was closed at the 8 September downtime.

    For your guild
For corporations the exposure was the master wallet, and CCP says the snapshots are probably already circulating. Check the journal for an incoming 0 ISK donation on 4 September, 15:00 to 21:00 UTC, from Mye Esubria, fxprobe1, fenriscw1 or Skiasten.

Monthly Economic Report - August 2026

CCP's economists report the summer slowdown easing, mining value recovering from the decline that started in May, the Mineral Price Index still falling and the Module Price Index down about 4% month on month.

    • —Mining value is recovering from the decline that began in May.
    • —The Mineral Price Index continues to fall, and the Module Price Index is down about 4% month on month.
    • —August's largest battle was fought in Pochven, at roughly 9,000 ships destroyed.

    For your guild
Falling mineral and module prices favour the buyer, so a corp that has put off restocking a doctrine fleet is buying into a softening market. August’s largest fight was in Pochven at roughly 9,000 ships destroyed, which is where demand comes from.

    Evolution, not revolution

The second HUD blog sets out the rework: speed controls leave the medallion, the capacitor gains a gauge showing gain and loss rate, and rack heat moves beside the racks. CCP will ship it opt-in first, then opt-out, then as default.

    For your guild
Fleet commanders call targets on muscle memory, and this moves the pieces they read under pressure. The opt-in phase is a corp's window to put a few pilots on the new HUD before it reaches a fleet op. No date, so nothing to schedule.

    Monthly Ban Report- July 2026

CCP proactively banned 10,700 accounts whose credentials had appeared on the dark web, taken by malware rather than sold by their owners. The report also renames the ISK Selling category to RMT Advertising and Selling.

    For your guild
A corp member can go dark here without having done anything wrong, so treat a sudden ban as a possible compromise first. CCP advises a malware scan and current protection, worth passing to the whole corp rather than the one person.
