Arc Raiders

Embark is testing a PvE matchmaking toggle from October 13 to 20, with no player damage, lower loot value, and several major map conditions left out. A feedback survey follows the test.

• —Runs from October 13, 11:00 CEST, to October 20, 11:00 CEST.
• —No player-to-player damage and no throwables on players; barricades and ziplines work as before.
• —Loot value is lower, and squads of different sizes meet more often. Night Raid, Locked Gate, Hidden Bunker, Frigate, and Redirection stay PvPvE only.
• —ARC can re-acquire a downed player who moves after an eight-second grace period.

Embark shipped Frozen Trail, the 2.0 update, with a new map called Pendola Pass, a patrolling Frigate, three new enemies, two weapons, a weapon upgrade tree, a grappling hook, and a player Outpost with a research bench.

• —Pendola Pass is a vertical alpine map with a Flash Freeze weather condition and a fallen ARC Emperor at its centre.
• —The Frigate is a boardable airborne carrier pitched as the hardest encounter in the game; the Hydra turret lives on it.
• —Weapon Amplification reaches 15 weapons through the Outpost's Research Workstation, with branching upgrades per gun.
• —Raider Decks are replaced by Reward Passes: a 60-level Frozen Trail pass with free and premium tracks, plus a free Legacy pass that keeps anything already earned. Max stash rises by two levels to 328.

Embark detailed Frozen Trail, arriving October 8. It adds a new frozen map built around a fallen Emperor, a new Frigate enemy, and an Outpost system that gives each player a home to customize. A PvE mode is also going into testing.

• —The new map is set where one of the giant Emperors has fallen, so players can see one up close, amid icy weather and new ARC threats.
• —The Frigate is a new ARC vessel and among the new threats waiting on the map.
• —The Outpost is a personal home players fit out with modules and furniture, which Embark says is only the start and will be expanded over time.
